Development Officer (Funding & Business Planning)

Hours: Part time (21hrs)

Salary: £16,697 per annum (pro-rata'd from £27,828 fte)

Location: Home based, with occasional travel across Aberdeenshire

Closing date: Monday 2nd May at 1200hrs

AVA works in many different ways with many community, voluntary, and third sector groups and organisations across Aberdeenshire. No two days are the same, because the nature of the work we do varies for each organisation we engage with.

We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Development Officer to join our team working across Aberdeenshire.

Duties will include providing support and guidance that will enable groups and organisations to deliver their services. The post will specialise in funding & business planning, and will focus primarily on supporting groups and organisations to prepare for applying for grants, and helping them with their applications where required.

The postholder will also be expected to work closely with our existing Funding Officer who performs funding searches for groups, and  in partnership with public, private and third sector organisations; we are looking for a person who really understands that everyone has something to offer, and values interacting with people.

The role is offered on a 0.6fte basis (21 hours per week) for 12 months in the first instance (extension beyond that date may be possible, but is dependent upon the securing of future funding).
