Job vacancies at AVA

Development Officer (specialising in Volunteering)

Salary: £16,210 for 21 hours per week (pro-rata'd from £27,017 fte)

We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Development Officer to join our team working across Aberdeenshire.

AVA works in many different ways with many community, voluntary, and third sector groups and organisations across Aberdeenshire. No two days are the same, because the nature of the work we do varies for each organisation we engage with.

Duties will include providing support and guidance that will enable groups and organisations to deliver their services. The post will specialise in volunteering and will focus primarily on working with groups and organisations to enable them to attract and retain volunteers who are often the lifeblood for many of these groups.

The postholder will also be expected to work in partnership with public, private and third sector organisations, and act as a focal point for all things volunteering; we are looking for a person who really understands that everyone has something to offer, and values interacting with people.

The role is home-based with occasional travel within Aberdeenshire. It is offered on a 0.6fte basis (21 hours per week) although there is a short-term option to work up to 0.8fte (£21,613 for 28 hours per week) until 31st March 2022.

For further information, please contact Keith Anderson (Head of Development) for an informal conversation by phoning 07969 603595.
