Development Administrator

Salary: £16,000 pro-rata with the potential to rise to £17,200 pro rata
(FTE 35 hours per week)

Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action is Aberdeenshire’s Third Sector Interface. We support Aberdeenshire’s volunteers, charities, communities and social enterprises to deliver sustainable impacts by representing at strategic level, and facilitating at operational level.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Administrator to this new role who will support the work of our Development Team across Aberdeenshire. The right person will be a motivated indidvidual who is aware of the importance of the Third Sector’s role in Aberdeenshire life. Working in our office in Ellon, you will build effective working relationships with our internal team and key regional stakeholders, undertaking a range of administrative duties including the collation of reports and updating of management information systems, data recording and supporting volunteering-related award schemes.

In the first instance, the role is offered on a 6-month basis, with a view to it becoming permanent, based upon successful development of the role by the incumbent. The post is offered on a 0.6fte equivalent (21hrs per week) and is based in our Ellon Office. There is some flexibility available around when the hours are worked, with the expectation being that they are completed between Monday and Friday during normal office hours.

Funded by the Scottish Government, Aberdeenshire’s Health and Social Care Partnership, and its own Social Enterprise (Magpie; a reuse & recycling facility based in Banchory), the AVA team operates across the length & breadth of Aberdeenshire, supporting volunteers and organisations from Sandend and St Combs in the north, to Braemar in the west, and Laurencekirk and St Cyrus in the south.
